Survey.

In June 2020 we released a survey titled β€˜The Impact of Omission: A survey to investigate the extent to which British Imperial history is explored in the curriculum of compulsory education in the U.K.’. With over 56,000 responses from across the country, the results clearly display the disparity in what is being taught on the history curriculum. Click below to see both the results from our survey.

Comments.

Our initial survey had a section for people to leave written responses around what they wished to see in the curriculum, their feelings towards the current system and anything else on their minds. Click below to view some of these responses.

Parliament, press and more.

Impact of omission has had the honour of being able to speak at a parliamentary hearing concerning the decolonisation of the curriculum. We have also helped chair an educational panel on the same subject. Furthermore, we have been lucky enough to do interviews and appear in articles on the topic. Click below to view these.

Further Resources.

We feel particularly lucky to be working towards change with so many wonderful organisations. Below you will find some of their incredible resources, along side other individuals, tools and groups that we have found particularly inspiring and wonderful.

Letters.

Letter templates that you can send to your MP, and school(s) calling for change, using our survey data to prove the point that while it is an option for schools to teach these subjects, it is not being done.
